Hoofs on my lips, bones in my lungs. The cancer is coming.

Well, the gum arabic on the papers is made from the acacia tree, so a less whimsical answer would be a simple “yes they are”.

Sadly the “papers” themselves are made from panda skin, which explains the contemporary scarcity of these once-common beasts…
