When this blog was born i had not experienced blogging or Burma first hand. This is a post celebrating both. It’s amazing that there has been so many clicks of the Subscribe link, and as a small token of my appreciation i have hand crafted fifty Aung San Suu Kyi badges to post out on a first come, first sent basis. Burma has provided me with so much of my blogging content, so much inspiration that it seems fitting to gift badges of Aung San Suu Kyi. One of the most wonderful women to grace earth.

The image on the badge is by artist Frank Shepard Fairey, the artist who designed the 2008 iconic “Hope” poster for Barack Obama’s presidential election campaign. If wearing the badge helps to stimulate conversation about Burma with even one person then surely that is a positive thing.
